I have always found Adobe prosucts to be a double edged sword inasmuch as they are likely the best apps for the job while, at the same time, they are extremely buggy. Since updating to the 2019 versions of CC I am experiencing many issues, none of which have been resolved by suggestions in the forums. The latest and possibly the most frustrating is the failure of Premiere Pro to close when I close the program. In addition to the other annoyances I now have to go to the Task Manager (Windows 10) and manually stop the program. None of the solutions suggested online have resolved this. Can anyone provide a fix for this?
Gradually becoming dissatisfied with Premiere Pro.
Beginner has a Problem: A low-Level exception occurred in: CFHD.dll (Get AVI Codecs)
Hallo together,
im an absolute beginner when it comes to Video Editing. So i was watching an online class about Premiere Pro, after finishing it, i wanted to edit my first video, so i downloaded the free Trial of Premiere Pro 2019. When i Started the Programm i got an Error with the following message: A low-Level exception occurred in: CFHD.dll (Get AVI Codecs). I really dont know how to solve that problem. First i wanted to ignore that error and just start to edit some videos. But on my Go Pro Footage i got on both monitors problems playing that footage. It has like a purple and sometimes a green inking...
I hope someone can help me
Thanks in Advacne

Fading in and out a tonne of text (AE or Premiere?)
Hi hive mind,
I'm doing a composition for a war memorial event and I need to find a way to fade in and out about 3000 names - about 15 or so at a time. My alternative is using a scroll effect and just importing them but I'm not sure my client wants a scroll necessarily. Now I don't want to have to make about 500 text layers and individually type a few at a time, fade in and out, then do the next one and so on because of all the names are on an excel file currently, so if there's a piece of code or a technique I can use that will reference that excel file and make a composition out of it that would be fantastic! I know this isn't the best explanation but if you have any questions I will answer best I can. It's almost got to be like static credits at the end of the film, only with 3000 names. Thanks all!
Premiere Pro CC 2019 -- Editing From SSD External Drive is Slow
I'm fairly new to Adobe editing and it could be that my setup preferences in Adobe are not correct. I am using a windows 10 laptop for editing a very simple 30 minute 1080p mp4 video file that is located on a external Crucial 256gb SSD drive.
In my settings I set Adobe Premiere to use the project location on the same external SSD the video file resides on.
After editing and making cuts I have found that the playback of the video becomes very delayed in it's initial start. For example I have to wait about 5 seconds before it even starts to playback the video after pressing the play button. It is pretty snappy in the first few minutes of editing, but after about 10-15 minutes of applying cuts it starts to slow down in waiting for playback.
I have 32gb of RAM and 8GB AMD Radeon card. Will leave all the specs listed below.
I also have all the settings in Scratch Disk set to "Same as project". Is this the correct way or best way? Is this what is causing it to be slow in response to begin playback? If I click to a certain point on the video timeline it takes a while for it to update in the viewer as well.
I am using external SSD because I'm trying to save drive space on my internal SSD on the laptop.
It has also crashed several times on me when making ripple deletes.
What do I need to do to setup Adobe to work right on external drives? I am up to date on the latest in AMD graphics card driver.
Thank you for helping me understand.
Gary

Trim Window Audio Problem
I'm working with unlinked sequences cut together in my timeline (PP 13.0). When I open the trim window and try to perform an audio only roll edit by using the frame arrows in the program monitor, the cut point will not move. Oddly, the playhead in the program monitor advances, but the playhead does not move on the timeline. I can perform a video only edit fine. Any ideas what's preventing me from trimming audio? I have the dim notion I'm doing something remarkably stupid. Thanks.
Really Strange Rendering Glitch When Rendering mp4s
When I import mp4 files, they render really strangely with this weird pink and green glitch. This glitch occurs both in Premiere in the playback section and when I actually render the clip. This glitch effect does not occur when I use other filetypes like images, although I don't have any other video formats to test. When I first opened the program, it said something about a graphics card or a driver or something, but I didnt read it carefully and igonored it. I have tried updating my graphics drivers since
I discovered the glitch. but they are all up to date and this issue prevails. This is what it looks like (the white background renders fine):
I think I need to update something to fix the problem, but I'm totally clueless as to what or how?
Animate CC : lag. What piece of my computer should I improve ?
Hello there !
I'm testing Animate CC for 2D animation. I have some lag when I work.
I'm using it for both background and characters (puppets) sometimes very complex, with a lot of lines.
No way I'm changing the general style.
Maybe my processor is not good enought. What do you think ?
Is the limitation from Animate CC or my configuration ?
Thanks a lot !!!

Buying a 9th generation processor is not a problem for me but I need to know if it will help or not.
Can't access sequence tracks or markers though ExtendScript
I'm using the following code in the ExtendScript Toolkit:
var seq = app.project.activeSequence;
alert(seq.name); // This returns the correct sequence name, so seq is not null
var tracks = seq.videoTracks;
alert(tracks.length); // This returns 'undefined' and is the start of my headaches
To confirm there are definitely video tracks on my sequence. I've tried this with new projects, new sequences, adding and deleting video tracks, locking and unlocking them but nothing seems to work. Have I missed something obvious?
Also, on a slightly related note, I am having problems accessing the markers on the sequence. The following seems bizarre:
var seq = app.project.activeSequence;
var markers = seq.markers;
alert(markers.length); // Returns 'undefined'
var newMarker = markers.createMarker(1); // Successfully adds a marker at one second.
alert(markers.length); // Returns 'undefined'
Thanks,
Pete

My project file is missing all of a sudden
I've been working on this new project for a little under a week now. The last time I worked on it was 2 days ago, and everything was fine, I saved it properly and everything. I started up the program today and under "open recent files" my project is no longer there. I've been using this project with my external hard drive, because of some storage issues with my laptop. So I searched my external hard drive manually and my computer's hard drive and the file is no where to be found. It's not even in my trash folder. The folder it's under on my external hard drive says that the folder was last used 2 days ago, so something just isn't right.
The Creative Cloud Files folder on my laptop is also empty, so I don't even see any previously saved versions of my project either. Please help!
RGB Curves un-editable in CC 2019
I've always used RGB Curves as my workhorse tool when it comes to grading, it's snappy and super responsive, powerful and easy to use. I've probably over 100 projects using RGB curves on adjustment layers, and with the latest CC 2019 update I am unable to edit any nodes and its really frustrating!
I can create a new node fine and edit it upon creation, however once the mouse click is let go there is no way to edit this node. This also means I can't edit the grade on any of the projects I am currently working on (over 8) all using RGB Curves, as I have done since 2012.
Please fix this ASAP! There's no way i'm going to re-grade all these projects or any past projects in Lumetri (which I really don't like the RGB curves in, they run very slow and laggy). It was already a crime to move it to the Obsolete folder and stop updating it.
Thanks
Can you fix this software and prevent it from crashing???
26 minutes later, my video rendered the effects. But because i thought Adobe has quality products it didnt occur to me to save after rendering. Now i tried to do a basic operation like import a music file and the damn thing crashed and now i reopened it and it needs to re-render the damn video again...
Am i supposed to save after every click??? Can you fix this software so it doesnt crash on basic operations like these?? I've upgraded everything to the latest versions. We're entering 2019 soon its time to make an adobe premiere that doesnt randomly crash

no exporta
Espero vuestras opiniones. Gracias

Problems with Premiere Pro CC 2019 v13.0 build 225 running under MAC High Sierra v10.13.6 on a high end iMAC:
1. SOME of my old*.MOV source files that were recorded on a BlackMagic Hyperdeck Studio cannot be read. The error is typically from the "Low Level MPEG Importer". This has been verified as a problem also under Windows. These files were totally acceptable to the latest CC 2018 version of Premiere Pro.
2. (This is unconnected with 1)
Here's my context: Editing a recording of a "talking Head" and editing out a few frames containing a single syllable. The problem is that, when I use a Morph cut on the video, the audio becomes silent for the duration of the morph cut.
Seen together, the above problems raise serious doubts in my mind about Adobe's testing of Premiere Pro 2019 prior to release!

Automatically Kill Audio Tracks - Possible?
Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping this community can help me solve a nagging audio program. I record a weekly talking-heads-type show for the web and my audio is plagued by echo. Part of that definitely is the recording space; it's a big open room. But cross-talk is another problem; the show has three panelists and because I'm using an omni-directional lav mic, their voices are being recorded on each others mics. When all three tracks are live in Premiere Pro CC, the echo is quite bad. So, I've been going in and manually deleting the audio tracks when the panelists aren't talking. That makes a huge difference but it takes forever. So, I'm wondering: is there any way to automatically kill an audio track in Premiere when it falls below a certain level, say 20db? Someone told me you can use a hard limiter, but I haven't found anything specific about that online. Any help y'all could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Isolating Voices from a Six Channel Audio Video
Hi all,
I'm slowly transitioning from Vegas to Premiere, and so far am finding it quite intuitive save for a couple of functions I have in Vegas that I don't quite know how to do in Adobe. Currently, I'm trying to figure out how to isolate the vocals from other background noise in Premiere.
I have a six channel audio mp4 file. In Vegas, as soon as I plop it in the timeline, all six channels are very clearly visible and separate form each other, as shown in this screencap.
One of the channels is predominantly vocals. It isn't 100% perfect, but simply ungrouping all the channels deleting every channel except for the third (the vocal heavy track) removes pretty much 95% of everything except vocals. Loading the same file into Premiere, I see only one audio track containing all the vocals and background sounds, and I really don't have a clue how to go around separating them.
Does Premiere have the ability to do this, or something similar to it? There is the alternative of isolating the sound in Vegas first but as the clip is long I would prefer not to have to render it multiple times.
Cheers,
Lawrence
Issues with peak files regenerating?
Hi, this is my first time asking a question here.
I am running Premiere Pro 2017.1.2 v11.0 on windows 7 (skipped pp2018 because without windows 10 dolby audio wouldn't work)
Looking through the thread seems to have similar issue where peak files kept regenerating.
I have at least 7 copies of the same peak files now for every single time I opened the same project.
However mine is on the same drive never been transferred to another user.
Any fix so far? I tried copying the same project and footages to a different disk to test on a windows 10 with pp 2018 to see if it regenerates and it still does. (sorry I have no pc info of that test workstation)
Did I miss out any info I should be sharing for this help? Thanks in advance
