Premiere is desaturating/washing out my footage BEFORE export

$

Hi Everyone,

I've been having this problem repetitively across multiple projects and hoping someone on here can help me.

When I first import my raw footage into a project it looks exactly as it should. It looks far more saturated than on Quicktime, but looks exactly as it would if I had opened it on VLC or another player without gamma issues.

After this I will close the project for the day, and when I re open it, it is suddenly washed out. Looking more like as if I had opened it on Quicktime.

The only way I have been able to fix this is by creating an entirely new project each time I need to reopen the project, and re importing footage and sequences.

This problem makes 0 sense to me and I've searched everywhere for an answer, please let me know if you know of a fix it's been a huge problem!

I'm running the newest version of premiere (13.0), but had this problem before I updated.

Thanks!

Old MBP worked fine until latest update - MP4s broken

I know I am using an old MBP, but I have used Premiere on it for over a year with no problems. I updated to the lastest software and all things went to hell. Can't get any mp4s to work at all. It loads just audio and gives me the "low level exception" error. I followed everything I could online, clearing/cleaning/deleting/reloading software etc. Nothing worked.

I then tried to go back to an older version software.  I thought I remembered being able to go through all versions... but now it only gives you specific versions you can go to. I don't remember what my last working version was, but I tried all the versions that you had available to me thru CC and the same error with mp4 (in H 264) came up.

So I transcoded a folder full of my mp4s to Apple Prorez...and that at least imported to my timeline properly, but when I tried to render the timeline I got another low level error message.

So what gives???  I don't mind running an earlier version if you tell me my Mac is the problem...but I can't get back to making an earlier version work.  As it stands now your software is broken and unusable to me.

Thanks,

D

After upgrading to the 2019 version of Premiere Pro CC I'm getting this error when opening any project. I can edit the project but I don't know if any work that I'll be doing will be compromised by this error. I need a position about this problem to continue working in any project in the 2019 version.lvcod.jpg

2019 - No Video Displayed in Program or Source

Seriously, was this beta tested? I understand Adobe owns a monopoly, but please....beta test this stuff. A focal point of video editing, the core function to even begin is to ohh....SEE the content!

Thankfully Adobes installer was highly inept and somehow left 2018 on....which works fine. Why rush out 2019 if it clearly is not ready???? Again, you are a monopoly, no competition to need to rush out.

Loaded 2018 file, took a long time to load, then after it cached, nada, double clicked previews, nothing, just a blank area. Space bar does not play my session.

h.264 exporting as green with sound

The new PP 2018 update and 2019 have killed off any hope of exporting an mp4 video.

Everything was working fine until the update, since then I’ve had multiple error exceptions, red screen of death, media pending, blank project screens, constant crashes and now finally a green screen on exporting.

I’m about done with this software after what I’ve experienced this week.

Right now, I can export in every form perfectly except h.264. All it gives me is a green screen with the audio files.

I’ve tried:

Turning off accelerated h.264 decoding

Fully rendering before export

Changing the render settings to software only

Making my current CS19 file backwards compatible and using it on CS18

Updatimg drivers and manually setting graphics card to Nvidia

Computer:

Windows 10

16 RAM

Intel i7 CPU

Intel UHD Graphics 630

Nvidia GeForce gtx 1060

Any advice for how to fix this is most welcomed

Steps to Create a DVD, Pro vs Elements

I am thinking of upgrading to Premiere Pro from Elements, have downloaded the free trial,  and have questions about the entire process to burn a DVD from Pro.   In Elements you are able to add titles, apply transitions between media, add chapter titles, create a DVD menu, and burn the disc.  I expected to find all these functions in Premiere Pro, but now I am finding out that to do this utilizing Pro requires a combination of Pro, Photoshop, Encore and ImgBurn.   What software is required to burn a DVD with chapters and a menu?   And, when I installed the trial version of Pro, it erased Premiere Elements.

Facebook Exports

Hi guys

I’m still with v12.1. I do various promos, where Facebook is one destination. My clips are captured PAL at 1080, 25fps. My sequence settings are ARRI Cinema 1080p/ 25fps.

I know the FB compression process can be a challenge so I export using the FB 720HD preset. The finished renders were watchable after the FB compression. Using the 1080 preset gave very poor results after FB compression (blurry/ pixelated, etc).

But, over the last couple of weeks, every export uploaded to FB using the FB 720 preset is off-centre and the bottom of the video is cropped, as though it is now larger than 1080x1920. The quality is below fair. I tried the 1080p preset again, but the upload was oversized like opening a 4K clip in a 1080 timeline and was almost like unwatchable in quality.  I have tried other settings, such as YouTube 720HD, but I still get the same issue.

Has anyone anyone else faced this problem or are there any suggestions on how to improve my sequence for upload to Facebook?

Regards,

Graham

Hi in Prem Pro CC 18, I used to export my video (50-60 gigs) in H264 and medium bitrate and it used to take about 20 mins... Now using CC 2019 it is taking 14 hours is there a reason for this and how can I go back... 14 hours is way way to long to render the videos...

Any help appreciated,

Shift of footage when relinking proxies with high res media after update to cc 2019

Hello everyone.

I worked with proxies, with the toggle proxies button on (original high res media were offline), then I upgraded premiere to the latest one, did all my edit.

Now the proxies are no more linked and when I click "attach/relink high res media" everything relinks but wit a shift of about 10 seconds on every clip...

And I double checked :

  • I selected the right media to relink.
  • The framerate of proxies is the same as original files
  • When I use the replace footage feature, there is the same shift...

Thank you very much in advance for you help/workaround because all my edit is dead...

Adobe Premier Pro Language Problem

Can't Export Video, only the Audio

I am teaching a video production class and one of the students has a problem that I've never seen before. He created a short video, played with audio and video effects (I'm not really sure what all he did) but when he went to export, only the audio file is exportable. The check box to export video is un-checkable... I've never seen this before, and I'm guessing that its something he accidentally did while creating the sequence?

Has this ever happened to anyone else? We can watch the sequence and it appears just fine...

Considering this laptop for Ae/Ps/Pr Adobe work - good choice?

Can you offer me a sanity check on the laptop I am considering.

I currently own CS5 and will very likely switch to CC in the next  12-15 months.

Software I use: Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects. I also use Lightwave

Budget: $500

Laptop I am considering:

Lenovo W530

Intel Core i7-CPU 3740QM (Quad Core) Base Frequency @2.70 GHz; Turbo Frequency @3.70 GHz

16GB DDR3 RAM

NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB (GDDR5) Dedicated Video RAM

15.6 Inch | LED | FHD | Full HD Display - 1920 X 1080 Resolution Ultra High Resolution with Vivid Colors | Anti-glare Finish

1TB HDD

Win 10 64bit

I have a Samsung SSD I will install in the new laptop.

Also, I use a Wacom tablet to digitally paint 300dpi 3000 x 5000 pixel images in Photoshop, so I would like to continue to do this yet without the lag problems I'm currently facing on my old Dell Precision M4600.

Questions:

  1. Am I making a wise decision based on my needs?
  2. Is there a better alternative you would recommend?

A few problems I'm having with Lumetri Color panel

$

Hello,

I'm currently using version 2018 CC. I for some reason can't seem to apply an adjustment layer for color with lumetri panel if there are fades on clips. What happens is the adjustment layer will not show the color effect when the clips below it transition. Meaning once the clip starts to transition with a cross dissolve etc the adjustment layer above any of those clips will cross dissolve but without the color adjust applied. As soon as the cross dissolve is finished the adjustment layer kicks back in.

If I apply the same lumetri color effect to the two clips that are cross dissolved together the color works fine. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to use an adjustment layer and have it recognize cross fades?

Another issue I'm having is when I apply a preset LUT. I can apply it fine but almost every time after I save the project and reopen it another time the applied LUT that should be there is not. Like it's not even in the list anymore.

Opened project in updated version, now timeline reveals picture and audio that do match original cut

$

Am new to Premiere Pro, but was asked to help out with a short film project. It was completed.

Just needed to output AAF files to the sound editor and a quicktime reference.  At that time,

I opened the project as a rebuild in a trial version of Premiere.  It was just to export the sound

files.

Three months later, a colorist opened the project to round trip via DaVinci Resolve.  When the project opened,

the timeline revealed picture edits that did not match the original cut, nor did the picture match

the audio.  Every attempt to rectify this has failed.  Not one YouTube video I've watched has solved this.

Have no idea what the problem is, especially not being familiar with Premiere Pro to begin with.

All the previous versions of the project do the same thing.  I don't understand how the picture cuts

are off from the original and in some cases, picture disappears, but the audio remains.

Very confusing.  I'm now looking for suggestions to resolving this.

I am on iMac, OS version Sierra.  I have tried going back and forth between Premiere 2018 and 2019.

Not sure what the original version was.  Student film at a local college.  No one there seems to know

Premiere Pro either.
