Problem with 'Other Versions'

Hi there,

 

I'm on version 12.1 and for the past few months have been periodically installing 12.0.1 to work on a particular project, then reinstalling if I need a more up-to-date version for other work. It's a large, complex project and I've had nightmares updating it in the past, so I've been studiously trying to avoid that.

 

Anyhow, it was working fine until this week, when it seems that 12.0.1 disappeared from my 'Other Versions' menu - see screenshot below:

I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but can't figure it out! Any help gratefully received.

Font changes after changing Text

Updated to the latsest version of CC on the 17th October 2018 and since then iv had problems with a font being changed automaticly with no way of changing it, tried uninstaling Premiere, reverting back to old version, re installing the fonts everything!!!!!

so here goes ...

 

 

I have a title created in After Effects with a specific font (Comic Sans) saved as an  "aep" file

 

I import the Title into Premiere Pro, and go to change the text for the title...

 

As soon as i type the new text the font changes to Ariel

 

this is only since i updated otherwise when ever i used to change the text it would stay at Comic Sans, iv tried reverting to the previous version of After Efects and Premiere and it comes up with unable to open your project as it was saved in a new version of Premiere pro!!

Audio lost after Importing Clips in Premiere

Hi,

I am importing to premiere a few clips from my computer, that all have sound in them already, but when I open them in the program I can't find the Audio, it doesn't show up in the timeline or anywhere else, it's like all of a sudden they have no Audio.

I have been trying several solutions but nothing works.

Mouse functionality not working in preview monitor area

Anyone else having an issue where the mouse is randomly not working in the preview monitor area only? This started happening after the update to CC 2019. Prior to that no issues.

Problems with variable frame rate iPhone footage in Premiere 12.1

Hi, I've had problems editing my iPhone 7 footage in Premiere 12.1 - which should have fixed the issues with variable frame rate. It does recognise it as VFR in the clip properties, and most of the clips play fine - but a couple (which are using the exact same settings as the rest of the footage, shot just before clips that play fine) will stutter, or the audio will just cut out after a few seconds (it plays ok in Quicktime etc). You can even see the waveforms in the sequence, but it plays silently. I've tried re-importing the clips, and deleting the Media Cache Files, which didn't help. If I convert those problematic clips to ProRes 24fps, they then work fine. Can anyone give any advice about why this might be happening?

Several issues with CC2019

There are several things I wish to resolve with Premiere Pro CC 2019.

 

First: When loading a project created in CC 2018 I get this notice (see image)

How do I clear this?

 

Also, the media progress bar locks at complete and never seems to clear (image)

Audio Issue with 2019 update

Our company just upgraded to Premiere Pro 2019. Now when we bring in .R3D files into a sequence there is no audio. This happens with brand new Premiere projects and with updated projects. However if you open the file in the Source monitor the audio plays, or if you make a sequence from the certain clip the audio plays. Otherwise if you bring the clip down to a sequence it drops on without audio. Please help!!

Title fuction issue

In Premiere Pro CC 2019, the title UI misses all its 4 functions: tools, styles, actions, properties. You have to turn them all manually every time opens it. Good job, Adobe.

[Help] MXF files not exporting in Premiere Pro CC.

Hi guys, I would really appreciate any help!

I'm making a project on Premiere for the first time, so I'm a bit of a rookie (switching over from SV).

I am using very large MXF files from my Sony NXCAM (30 gb files). I edited my video together and now when I export it, I get an error message as soon as it begins to render the MXF bits.

It says:

Writing with exporter: MXF OP1a

Selector: 47

Error code: 5.

Component: ImporterMXF of type Importer

etc. I've tried to convert the mxfs to mp4s but of course all these websites and applications refuse to do my files because they are 30 gbs. I'm hoping there's some way to either export the mxfs or convert them in the program. I've tried to exported them as other files (like quicktime or mp4s (the h264 codec or whatever) and it always doesn't work.

 

I would REALLY appreciate any advice or solution. Thanks.

Are the color wheels gone in CC 2019?

I read that some feature was removed from Lumetri, though I am not clear on what.

1. Were the color wheels removed in CC 2019?

2. If so, was this done to make Premiere more like DaVinci?

Error compiling movie I/O error Selector:9, Error Code:14

This error start to appear when I installed new version of adobe media encoder/adobe premiere.

I tried to erase old ones and new ones several times and it might affect the codecs.

 

Is there any way to fix or replace old codecs?

Premiere pro crash a chaque ouverture du logiciel !

Voila, depuis la nouvelle mise a jour mon logiciel crash a CHAQUE FOIS SANS EXCEPTION, il crash des son ouverture et une page d'erreur souvent me demandant si je veux envoyer un rapport a l’assistance d'adobe ! Avez vous une idée pour régler ce problème ?

 

J'ai déjà installer et désinstaller plusieurs fois, ça n'a rien changé

Et tous mes pilotes sont a jour

Ram will stop the skipping?

I am on a 6core 3.5 macpro (2013) w/16gb ram. I have a Mercury Elite Pro Dual connected via thunderbolt 2 (might be thunderbolt3).

 

I have 4k@24fps 4:2:08bit from the gh5 in a 1080p24 sequence. I have had 4k@60p 4:2:2@10bit in the same sequence settings before and did not get this same level of sloppiness. I normally run 3 other programs in the background (chrome, ps & ae) but this one seems to skip when there is nothing in the background.

 

I think it is a ram issue but before i jump from 16 to 64gigs ram I wanted to know if the ram would help this.

 

What do you think?

Problem with automatic font substitutions with .mogrt

I recently purchased a graphic template off of adobe stock and when I went to import it I did not have the font that was necessary.  I went through the font sync process and the font is now available for all CC products but for some reason when I try to use the graphic template that I downloaded, it appears in my source monitor to have automatically chosen a new font in the graphic. 

 

The font should be Goldenbook and Open Sans but it seems to be something else and I can't get it to change.

 

I have even tried deleting the template and re-importing it.  I have also tried clearing all Premiere settings, uninstalling and reinstalling.

 

Any help would be great, thanks.

PP not exporting the whole video

Hi, I have a holiday video, with video, music, and pictures. When I export the whole video it takes about 30 hours to do so but once it finishes it only outputs a file of around 600mb when the export settings say it will be 5GB. I can play the first bit of the video no problem but then I get a black screen and QuickTime player does recognize the full time of the file which is about an hour.

I did have proxies attached on an external HD and when I export the file with the proxies attached it always stops exporting and I have to cancel, so I thought I would move the proxies to another location and export the file as I always would but then I get the issue where it stops playing.

 

I hope someone can help.

Voice Over Recording in Premiere Pro CC 2019 doesn't work

Does anyone else have this problem? I want to record a voice-over and it doesn't work. I checked the internal audio settings of my new MacBook Pro as well as the internal software settings of CC 2019. Both show the VO Mic. And while I see the sound get into the laptop I don't get any audio levels in Premiere. When I tried this with the older version CC 2018 it worked as it always has. Does anyone have a fix? Do I need to install a new plugin? That would be strange, because in the VO record settings it shows that it recognises the mic...

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 no mask edges any help?

The edges of my masks are missing. I tried all the solutions from previous threads (older versions). New user, change display, rename folder, etc. (edges temporary appear when I click on the + sign for the button editor, but disappear right when i close the add button menu), etc. The edges of the mask are gone. Makes it hard to impossible to use masks. Anybody has a fix for it? I uninstalled it, reinstalled it as well. Works fine when I downgrade to 2018. Thanks

Premiere Pro CC 2019 sync import problem

When I import a video and try to edit in timeline, the sound and the video are not sync, like 2-3 second delay, but the original video works.I trye everything like 5 hours reaserch, and i m thinking that the problem is from the program or something, I need help.

Audio cuts out intermittently in Premiere Pro

I've seen this issue posted many times but never a solution so I thought I'd add one more complaint to the pile.

 

Audio cuts out intermittently in Premiere Pro during playback.  It seems to affect all file types equally and sometimes cuts out by channel and not all at once.  I've had this issue from the 2017 release, through 2018 and it continues in 2019.  It's also spanned the use of two different machines, the first on Windows 7 and currently on Windows 10 though it's become much worse recently.   I've use creative cloud cleaner to do a full uninstall/reinstall without results.  I tried changing the audio hardware from MME to ASIO and it helped briefly but then all playback stopped and Premiere would crash until I switched it back.   Currently the only way to "fix" it is to pause playback and resume but it's become bad enough  that I only get a few seconds down the timeline before it cuts out again.

 

I'm using a Dell 5820, dual 8 core 3.7GHz processors, dual Quadro P5000s, 128GB RAM.

Extendscript in Premiere CC 2019 try catch not working

I am having a problem with using a try/catch statement in Extendscript for Premiere CC 2019. The call

app.getProjectViewIDs()

used to return undefined if there were no open project IDs, but now in CC 2019 it throws an exception, which I can't catch.

 

With the below code, I still get an alert saying unhandled exception. How do I handle this exception? For a reference I have only opened a blank, default project, and haven't loaded anything at this point.

 

try {

     return app.getProjectViewIDs();

} catch (e) {

     return null;

}
