I have the current PP CC, and I have been successful in editing multi-cam sequences. However, I believe that selecting the angles (subsidiary cams) must be done in "real time" while the sequence is running. My workaround is to stop the sequence, place color-coded markers where I want changes, and then re-run the sequence. As the markers appear, I select the angle (cam). Is there an easier way?

Hardware Required for transfering Sky Recorded Programs to Premiere ?
Hi all,
I am about to purchaase a new PC, and wanted to know if I needed any hardware in order to transfer programs from my SKY+ HD Box into adobe premiere in order for me to then write it to DVDs to keep.
Or is it just a case of connecting the sky box to my PC via HDMI and premiere will automatically discover it.
I know I will have to manually play the program in order to record it into premiere.
Any advice greatly received.

No Title link in Premiere Pro
I just installed Premiere Pro CC to a new computer and am trying to set up the windows screen for editing. However there is no link at the top of the screen to launch the Titles menus. I can't create any titles! Worse yet, I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to find any Chat Help on Adobe's website. The only way was to go into this Forums. How frustrating!

Using Clip Speed Duration Takes 'Rendering Required Files' to 112%
I usually prepare a multicam sequence and speed up some portions with maintain pitch enabled, this is the first time I have run into this rendering problem. If I do not enable pitch enabled, the box does not show entirely
-Build 11.1 (222)
-Footage on hard drive/SSD
-Project/cache on separate SSD

Media Pending on All picture files, JPEG, PNG etc, help?
For some reason whenever i bring in a picture into the timeline my entire time line freezes up. the entire video stops playing but the audio continues. I got this to stop but now where ever the pictures are in the timeline the yellow MEDIA PENDING screen comes up. I've started completely from scratch with a new project and the same thing keeps happening. Whats weird is this wasn't happening at all yesterday, just today. I know I doing something stupid but any help would be great. I have good pc so i know its not a hardware issue.

Rendering Introducing Black Bar
When I render a clip (or multiple clips) in the timeline a black border appears at the bottom of the Program Monitor (as in photo). However, it is not really there; even if I export it, it is not visible in the resulting video. This just started happening today in a project that I have been working in for months, I have never seen it before today?How/why did it get there? Most importantly, how do I get it to go away? I have tried rebooting PP.

Strange frame skipping problem.. can someone help? (DJI MAVIC PRO)

I just recently got a drone, the Mavic Pro from DJI and i had some issues with the footage in Adobe CC 2017.
Everytime i shoot a fly up with a small tilt down, it seems like Premiere Pro doesn't understand the .mov file.
The footage looks (almost) okay in quicktime player. but when i drop them in Premiere pro it starts jumping around like crazy at the moments where frames are skipped in the camera. The strange thing is when i cut the footage after the frame jump, the issue will appear later in the video (Where therefore wasn't a jump)
I tried different Premiere Pro versions (CS5.5 and CC 2015), also tried After Effects and Media encoder but all those programs seem to give the same problem. Strange thing is that the jumpiness is always a little different. Sometimes alot, like 4 quick jumps in a row or sometimes just once. And all that with just 1 single shot i made....?!
Sequence and camera settings are all okay (25fps 4k). Maybe seems like the SD card is too slow for the video but this SD card was included with the drone when it arrived. Tried another SD card (exactly the same type and speed), same problem.
Here's an example i made;
First you'll see the raw footage playing in Quicktime Player
Then i'll show you the problem (Frame skipping/jumping)
And in the end i cut the footage just behind the jump, and show you that the jumpiness appears in other parts too after cutting it.
Can anyone please help me? I would be very very happy!

Exporting 17 minute video, only 1kb when done?
I shot and edited a 17 minute video with a Phantom 3 pro. The video was recorded in 1080p/60fps, no effects, I added a soundtrack and transitions. When I export it takes about 3 hours and it is only 1kb when done. What am i doing wrong?

Open Captions bug: placement is off even after fixing it once
Ever since I upgraded Premiere to 2017.1 release, I have had all kinds of problems with my captions. After the upgrade, all my captions were moved off center. I can manually move them back, one by one, but when I save and come back to the project, they would once again be positioned off center.
Furthermore, trying to apply styles to the captions has been very frustrating. Many of the features (such as assigning an outline color) work initially, but then stops working after a while.
Please let me know if there is a fix for this.
Below is an example of how a multi-line caption changed after the upgrade. Fixing it would work, but when I save and re-open the project, it would revert back to this change.

Blu-ray dvd disc - help me please!
I can not speak English very well. I am translating the content I wrote in Korean into English by Google Translator. I edited it with Premiere Pro cc 2017 version and made a lot of subtitles and finished it. The purpose of this is to make a Blu-ray dvd disc.

When outputting, mpeg Blu-ray will be selected and output as m2v video file and audio file like wav or ac3. I would like to change this to a Blu-ray dvd folder structure. What utilities should I use? I have tried many utilities that make Blu-ray Discs, but all of them were utilities that made the Blu-ray dvd folder structure into a disk, and made a separate file with video and audio separated like Blu-ray or Blu-ray dvd folder structure like m2v The utility could not be found.
I'm afraid we would appreciate your Internet address so that we can install such a utility. My personal opinion is that the version of Premiere Pro CS is better.

Specs for 4k editing?
Hello!
I want to get into video editing (Adobe Premiere CC) and am only doing this as a hobby, so I don't need top tier spec/equipment. I plan to make drone videos (DJI Mavic Pro & DJI Osmo gimbal) in 4k resolution and want to post them on youtube. I am a complete newbie when it comes to computers, but would like to build my own PC; my price cutoff is $2000 for a customer built desktop + good ~20" monitor (again, I'm only a hobbyist so I don't need the best or a 4k monitor)
1) Where do I even start when it comes to building my own computer? Is it pretty easy for anyone to build one?
2) What specs/parts do I need to run Adobe Premiere & edit 4k footage?
3) What's a good monitor thats around 20" that provides me sharp & accurate colors (doesn't have to be 4k resolution)?

2017.1 IMMEDIATE CRASH when selecting Colour Matte & Text regions simultaneously
Hey everyone - have an urgent critical issue and hoping if anyone else has found a fix or workaround.
Since updating to 2017.1 (this issue was non-existant previously) - PP2017.1 will crash immediately when selecting a colour matte region AND a text region simultaneously on the timeline. This has been tested with new projects both located on a SAN and local HDD.
Steps to create issue:
1. Create new project > new timeline
2. Create new Colour Matte > place on V1
3. Create new Text > place on V2
4. Click and drag over both regions and app will crash (this will also happen if you select both regions using the SHIFT key).
Please note this does NOT crash when selecting ANY other combination of media on the timeline. i.e. Colour Matte and Vision. Vision and Text. Text and Audio.
I have deleted plists; uninstalled and reinstalled PP; and checked for updates. I also unfortunately cannot revert to using PP2016 for the interim as my projects are PP2017 versions and quite mission critical to my work. Does anyone have a fix to this? I've experienced this crash over 100 times in the past week and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest.
MBP i7, 16GB RAM, OSX 10.11.2. NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1GB.
As a sidenote - I love the efficiency of the new text tool but NOT being able to use the SHIFT modifiers when moving the text placement to snap to the X or Y axis seems primitive. Can someone build this back in please?

Multicam layout suggestion
Hello there! This is my first post on the forums here but I've been using Premiere for quite some time now and I had a suggestion that I think would make multicam editing a whole lot better.
When you go into the multicam the cameras always put themselves in a square next to the main video box. The problem though is that they always line themselves up in a 2X2, 4X4, 8X8 (and so on) grid system.
Wouldn't it be better if they used the space more efficiently? If I have two cameras to work with, I'd like them to lay themselves out so that video 1 is on top, video 2 is on bottom, and the main video is to the right. That way you're using the space most efficiently. Instead it has video one on the top left, video 2 on the top right, a black box where it could have video 3 and 4, then the main window to the right of it.
It's a huge waste of screen real estate. I've attached a picture of my current project that I'm working on and as you can see I have five videos that are working side by side and yet the program is blocking out 9 spaces when it could be blocking out just 6. (All the wasted space is highlighted in red)
Now the REALLY perfect solution would be if Premiere would allow you to have the preview cameras in a separate window from the main monitor. What I would really love to do is to have my main video monitor on my secondary monitor on my computer and have the preview videos showing up where they are in the screenshot that I'm posting here, without the actual output video with it.
I hope all of this makes sense. I've been working with premiere for a long time and I feel I have a good grasp over most of the functions of the program but I have a feeling I'm getting a lot of the terminology wrong so I hope you can all bear with me on that.

Opening times for project differ significantly
• I'm running CS6 under OSX 10.9.
• OSX is on an SSD via USB3.
• All data for the project is on an external Firewire 800 drive, via a thunderbolt cable.
The first time I open a project after OSX boots, the opening time for a project with about 1300 items is 170 seconds.
If I close the project and open it again later on during the same session, the opening time is 40 seconds.
Why is that?
How can I improve the original opening time?

Adding Video assets to Library tab
Hallo
I have some Video Assets (AVI Files with Alpha Channel) and After Effects Comps which are Title Templates for Lower Thirds. I always need these assets in my premiere Pro Project when I start to edit. Is there anyway to save these assets to my Library so that they always appear in the Library Tab of Premiere and so that I can share them with other editors. I have tried to drag the assets from Premiere Pro Project window into the Library teb but nothing happens. I have other Libraries with Photoshop Files and colors and layer styles and Illustrator files, but I can't seem to get video files into the Library. The Video files are also in my Creative Cloud folder but how do I get them in a library?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
