I have an issue with Premier Pro ... It does not smoothly play during the edit process and is very jerky video and garbled audio when editing 4k vids... 

 

I have used Proxy files and there is no difference if i turn the attached proxy on or off... On my old lap top they play smooth using proxies but not on my new computer and the new one is built for high rez graphics... The Lap top is a I5 with on board standard Microsoft graphics and is ver poor with 4 k vids but with proxies it works just takes forever to process....

 

The New computer is an I7 with 16 gig of top of the line ram , an ssd drive and a Radeon Fury grafix card...

 

The computer should run 4 K /60 frame video in the editor as is without proxy files and it does run Very high resolution games at highest rez settings with no issues ... It plays 4k vids perfect...  It processes the videos very fast and the end video is fine... It only during the edit process with Premier Pro that the video are VERy jumpy when I play them as they are in the editor .... 

 

I have tried changing settings on the graphic card and it does not help... 

 

Any suggestions for anyone your be very appred and any questions on my machine or setting just ask...

Hi all,

 

On import to Premiere Pro, one file has the sound out of sync no matter what I do, its driving me crazy.

 

I recorded 3 separate videos using an SLR hooked up to a mac with OBS to H.264. It is recorded in variable bit rate, so I run them through Handbrake for a constant fps (30), again in H.264.

 

2 of the files (in fact I have done this more than twice) work fine when I import them to Premiere Pro. Just one file, no matter what I do to it, the sound is always out of sync ever so slightly.

 

Note, the file itself is fine if I open it with Quicktime, both before and after converting it with Handbrake. I have also tried separating the sound from the video, then syncing them together in Premiere with no luck. There must be something about this particular file that is causing problems, but I cannot isolate it.

 

Any help would be appreciated

Can anyone please help? I keep getting a message saying there is an error when I am trying to export my project. It exports about 18mins out of 1hour 11min video and this pops up. Im not sure what to do about it and I'm desperately in need to finish is project.

any help will be appreciated thanks!

Hi, so as you can see, I had to make cuts from a video to get different part of a clips to make a video. But now, it's just all so messy and I can't find myself anymore. I tried to move the cutted clipped I made into bins but it just duplicate the video I used to make the clip.

Is there a way to save my cutted clipped and be able to organize them somewhere of my editing table?

I'm delivering a movie to a distributor and having a hard time getting the correct audio embedded in the QT. Their specs are:

 

Audio must be embedded in the movie file (5.1 surround, if available, and stereo L/R - 8 tracks, each track assigned to its own channel and labeled accordingly) Stereo L/R or Lt/Rt must be stereo paired in the movie file. See below for audio specifications.

CH 1: Left

CH 2: Right

CH 3: Center

CH 4: LFE/Subwoofer

CH 5: Left Surround

CH 6: Right Surround

CH 7: Stereo L (or Lt)

CH 8: Stereo R (or Rt)

 

They told my mixer to configure sound for multiple mono. I'm confused in regards to the track type/output assignments when initially creating the sequence. When I set a track type to mono, it looks like the output assignment assumes that it's 1 of a dual mono stereo pair. So do I set the first 6 track types to adaptive? And then the last two tracks as mono for the Stereo L-R and then pan each accordingly?

 

Does anyone have experience with embedding 5.1 and stereo in a Quicktime like this?

I'm working on a beautiful piece and of course I mess things up.

I think this started to happen when I cleared the unused cache.

Everytime I open the file this happens.

As soon as I open Premiere it crashes.

I've tried everything from permissions, to firewalls.

It doesn't happen for any other file.

Please help!

I've read/watched several dozen tutorials on how to use 60 fps footage and turn it into slow motion 30/24 fps footage. However, no matter which method I attempt to use (Right Click -> Modify -> Interpret Footage to desired frame rate, drop 60 fps footage onto 30/24 fps timeline, speed/duration with optical flow time interpretation, etc) I end up with footage that duplicates frames. It is slowed down, but every other frame is a repeated frame. What am I doing wrong?

when I downloaded premiere pro, it came out in a lenguage that I didn't wanted, I tried to figure it out but I couldnt. so I unstalled it and now Im trying to install it again but a i cant. can someone please help me.

I wanted to know if it is possible to create and manipulate a multi-camera sequence by writing some C++/JSX code in the Premiere Pro plugin. I am unable to find any API documentation regarding the same.

It would be great if someone could point me to the right APIs. Thanks in advance.

Dear fellow Premiere-users,

 

Unfortunately I am not able to type titles in Premiere, even not when I am using the new location in Essential Graphics.

Sometimes I simply can't type. (There is no visible spot for typing)

 

Sometimes I am all of a sudden able to type, I see a text-square appearing, but the text inside this square is still invisible.

 

(Please see attached picture for the Essential Graphics area. Clicking on the T- New Text Layer will not give me the opportunity to type.)

 

I must be doing something wrong, but all the tutorials I found are based upon an older version, or show a screen in which it is clear where to type your titles.

 

Is there a link to a clear up-to-date tutorial, or does anyone know what misstake I am making?

I have a sequence with 4 audio clips. The other day I export the sequence and found a part of my video is out of sync with audio (ca 1 sec). I play that part in PP and see no issue, then i realize that the audio I listen and the waveform is out of sync in PP, and the export process seems to use the data of the waveform while I sync using my ear. I delete the audio clip, add it again from library and the waveform syncs again. After that, I export, that part is ok but now another part (with another audio clip) has exactly the same issue. Anyone has similar issue and has any solution?

I am using PP CC 2017 with windows 10 on Dell Inspiron r15 SE 7520.

So I just today bought the subscription to creative cloud because I can't purchase premiere pro by itself. And I get home, download it and try and download premiere pro as well as after effects. They instantly crash when I try and open both programs. So I chat with the help line thing and he does a bunch of stuff to my computer, tries again and then it doesn't work. He restarts my computer and  I loose him, i try downloading creative cloud and now that won't even download correctly on my computer and it wont open and says it needs to repair itself. This is honestly so frustrating, especially for how much money went into this for it to not work.

Hi,

 

I have Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017.1 installed and it has been working flawlessly for sometime without glitch, however this week it has been crashing minutes after loading into the program (dosen't even need to load a project), just idleing in Premiere will cause Windows to produce "Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017.1 has stopped working" with the whole screen going pale-white (see screenshot).

 

System:

Computer: HP ProDesk 800 G2 SFF

OS: Windows 7 Professiona x64 (Windows up-to-date)

Graphics: Onboard Intel HD Graphics

 

I'm aware of the "use a graphics card" suggestions, though the projects I'm doing are lite-weight, basic editing, worked smoothly on this machine and has never glitched - At this point, I would like to try and resolve this "dll" crashing issue, before making hardware changes.

 

Troubleshooting steps already done:

1.) Event Viewer

     -     Faulting module: dvacore.dll on all Error messages - No other file or programs are mentioned.

2.) Checked recently installed updates.

     -     No Windows Updates, but Acrobat Reader DC updated the same day this problem started.

3.) Uninstalled Acrobat Reader, cleared registry - didn't work.

4.) Uninstalled Premiere, cleared registry, installest latest verion from Creative Cloud - didn't work.

5.) Uninstalled ALL Adobe products, cleared registry - didn't work.

6.) Updated Drivers: Video, Chipset, BIOS and Audio - didn't work.

7.) Roll back of drivers, didn't work.

8.) Cleared Media Cache, didn't work.

9.) Compatability mode, didn't work

10.) No third party plugins or adds on to worry about, just default Premiere that has never glitched.

11.) Tried 32bit version, same result

12.) Sound is unmuted, and working with other audio programs; I only run Premiere, no other applications.

13.) Done further research both here on Adobe and Google, tried various suggestions which all hasn't worked.

 

Are there are other software based suggestions I could try?

I'm tearing my hair out trying to find a solution to this but I cant seem to find one.

Whenever I export a timelapse from Premiere Pro the footage looks like this:

I have tried using different codecs and export settings using both CBR and VBR and diferent resolutions. but every time it comes out like this. Here are my current export settings.

Can anyone shed some light as to why premiere might be having such trouble rendering my time lapse? Or what I could do to fix the situation? It was originally sitting on a Timeline with 4k footage which looked absolutely fine when rendered. It's only the Time laspe that is struggling.

HI, I'm very new to Premier Pro CC so I'm a little confused with the top menu bar. Whenever I look at tutorials on Youtube etc, the menu bar within the tutorial has File Edit Clip Sequence Markers TITLE Window Help but on my menu bar i have File Edit Clip Sequence Markers GRAPHICS Window Help. So when I follow a lesson and they add a new TITLE, I'm stumped as I can not find a way of adding a new TITLE. I can insert text but then I don't seem to have a choice of fonts. Is it just me or am I missing something, do I have a different version and is there a way of changing the bar?

When sending a clip over to Audition for repair work the reference file always comes back as Non-Drop Frame TC, which is strange since I'm always working in Drop Frame. In order to get the TC to match properly I have to go into modify clip properties and manually set the TC back to Drop. Is there some preference setting in either Audition or Ppro that will get it to send back the same type of TC I started with? This is an amazingly annoying PITA in what is otherwise a wonderful feature of Ppro.

 

By the way I'm working with the latest release of PPro and Audition, on a Mac Pro and cutting ProRes 1080P30.

Hi

 

So my audio also doesn't sync after importing to PP, like many others. I've read A LOT of topics about this and apparently the problem is that a lot of videos get shot in variable frame rates and PP only allows a constant frame rate. For now the only option to get this straight is by downloading a program that converts your videos to a constant frame rate. Even the staff from Adobe dared to comment this as a solution.

 

So in other words: the users of PP should just clean up your mess?

The only explanation I find is that AdObE tArgEts PrOfeSsiOnAl dEsIgNerS aNd tHat tHeY dOn't wOrK WitH VaRiabLe fRaMe rAteS.

 

You know what I think? That Adobe just doesn't know how to solve this problem. Because why else would you let go of a whole market of people shooting videos with Iphones etc.?

 

Sorry but I'm actually really pissed off about this.

I'm expecting an update guys. This isn't the way things works, a lot of people pay faire money for this software, so put some of our money behind it and get it fixed, ASAP.

 

Should I help? Like you already know there's a program that can convert it, why not buy them and make a plug in out of it or something like that? I don't care, just solve the problem already and everyone will be happy.

I want to easily select from different logo elements from a motion graphics template created in AE in Premiere? There is already a stock option under "sports packages" where you can swap out the logo element with other stock options. I would like to do the same thing but with my own unique elements without having to go back to AE and change out logos within AE.
