Premier 2017 is adding more noise to my footage.

Hello guys,

 

I've recently acquired Adobe Premiere 2017 beforehand I was using vegas, my footage was graded and I had rendered it to a .MOV format after grading etc the noise was all looking fine, on the video file after the render its fine but after I put it into Premiere I begin to have problems.

 

Premiere seems to be adding excessive noise with dots around in the screen in dark areas and actually moves around the subject and his surroundings stretching from time to time, the most consistent colour of this noise seems to be green, I need this trailer finished by the end of the week so I need help asap please.

After Effects Live Templates Glitching

I have been using Live Templates using the Dynamic Link from After Effects to premiere for some time now in CC 2016 - I use it extensively in my weekly workflow. Every now and again i would come across some glitching problems that are rarely visible in playback, usually only in render or after export.

 

I love the idea of the Dynamic Link and Live Templates and they are exactly what I am looking for - however since moving to CC 2017, the problem seems to be worse as some Lower Thirds templates I am using are showing glitches that never used to have any problems.

 

They show up in my lower third files both on the editable text layers and animated object layers.

 

Specifically, in 2017 I seem to be having more trouble with the new .aecap file format.

 

In 2016 the glitches occurred through the dynamic link.

 

Any ideas why these glitches occur in render and export from PP but no sign in playback in PP or AE?

 

I'm using:

Premiere Pro CC 2017

After Effects CC 2017

 

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

OS Sierra 10.12.1

2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Having Playback Issues: Help is greatly appreciated!

OS: Windows 10 Pro

Software: Premiere Pro CC 2017

Monitor: LG Ultrawide

Resolution: 2560x1080

Video I'm referencing and all others alike: 3840x2160 29fps from DJI Phantom 4

When I open my video for playback in "Movies & Tv" I have... you guessed it. Black bars on left and right side of the video.

Same issue when I open this video in VLC.

HOWEVER: When I open this same video on my Mac Mini w/ Quicktime it displays on the entire screen. Any ideas?

fading in text one portion at a time

If someone could solve this for me, I would be FOREVER greatful...I'm doing a mission statement. Nothing fancy, pretty basic. white background, black font. I want the persons name to appear first and then the second portion of it to fade in second. I know the two parts need to be on second tracks but the top layer is blocking the second part from coming through so when the marker is over the clip for the second part, it just shows the top layer. obviously I need to change something, but the question is WHAT????! Help!

importing footage errors

I'm working on a project handed over to me from a friend of mine, I have all the footage on my drive, but a lot of it came up as offline when I tried to open the project. I was able to find some of it, but for the rest I got an error message that read "importer reported a generic error". I then tried to bring it in manually, I got an error that read "unsupported format or damaged file". I checked the files outside of premiere, and they play fine, they don't seem corrupted or anything and all the files that don't work are MP4s (there were some MOV files that all worked, and some MP4s that worked as well)

 

The only thing I can think of that may be causing this is that the project was originally being done on a mac, and I'm working on a PC, but that doesn't explain why some files worked and some didn't.

 

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Speedgrade custom checkbox

Can anyone tell me what the Speedgrade custom checkbox in the Lumetri Color panel does?

 

I'm trying to modify my workflow now that the direct link to Speedgrade has been removed & I can't find any mention of that particular checkbox in the documentation. When I toggle it on & off I can see it does something but I don't know what.

How to set default export preset for multiple exports?

Hi

 

When I export one timeline, Premiere Pro remembers my recent used export setting. When I select more than one timeline for export it does not. It defaults to NTSC DV Widescreen (not something I need at all).

 

I have to manually change this preset to mine every time, before queing them to AME.

OR

I can leave it as the bad default and change them all in AME. 

 

Still, it would be nice if I could tell PP or AME which preset to default to.

 

Anyone know how to fix this please?

I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2017.

Adjust multi subtitles in Premiere pro cc 2017

I'm currently doing some tasks require importing .srt file which is made by other 3rd software such as Aegisub. As I see, no matter what the font style I made on aegisub, by default on Captions windows Premiere Pro will read .srt file as Helvetica font (MAC) or Arial (Windows), size 18, "almost" white color.

 

- So the question is how can I manage Premiere Pro to import the subtitle with the exact font style as done in 3rd party software like Aegisub?

- And assuming that I imported .srt file that have 500 subtitles and now I need to change all the text's color, is there any way to do that without changing every single line on Captions windows?

 

I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2017.

Error while exporting video (incoherence in video structure)

Everytime I export my project , (to youtube) , and once the prender finishes , I get a error that susprises me a lot.

Now , im spanish and so the error is also in Spanish so Ill do my best to translate the original error (and i will leave it in spanish below just in case)

I dont know what am i supposed to do , it always happens just when rendering finishes. Also file is not corrupted or anything it plays just fine.

Is this a path issue? What is the problem? All answers are appreciated

Black Screen When Working ON Project But Audio IS Playing

When I use Premiere now. No Playback appears I can hear the audio. Also timeline does not move. As well when i close the program I have to go into background processes in task manger and end task or it will not reopen the only thing that has changed recently is i updated my gpu driver.

 

My System

-i7 6700k

-GPU gtx 1080

-Windows 10

 

I have tried

-uninstall reinstall

-using older graphics driver (when i installed Nvidia driver 389.69 i thought i fixed the problem but it reappeared )

-toggling eyes and mute

 

 

Any help would be appreciated

Shortcut trouble with Premiere CC 2017

iMac 27" 5k late 2015

3,2 GHz Intel Core i5

32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

 

Ok, so I installed the 2017 yesterday and I have two major issues that is really messing up my workflow.

 

1) shft+3 to toggle between sequences does not seem to exist. I cannot find a way to fix this.

 

2) I have my shortcuts for zoom in/out. This does not work properly. Whenever I hit zoom in - it zooms in once, and the next time I hit the button it zooms out. My zoom out key doed not do anything.

 

This is really, really disturbing and is completely messing up a deadline. I have tried a lot of tricks, nothing seems to work. Please help!

Dynamic Link not showing any AE effects

I have an issue where dynamic link is not showing any effects that were applied in After Effects. For example, drop shadows are not showing up, elements are no longer reflecting fast blurs applied in AE, same goes with hue and saturation effects, etc. All this worked perfectly before when I was using After Effects 13.7, but the issue seemed to have popped up when I installed After Effects 13.8 (the AE file that's used in dynamic link was still created and saved in 13.7). Our company is currently using Premiere 2014.

 

The issue is resolved if switched to Premiere 2015, however it's not possible at this point to move the whole company over to 2015. We also have to keep AE 13.8 because of real time playback issues w/ 13.7. Moving over to 2017 is also not an option at this point. We're testing it, but it'll will take many many months before we'll be able to deploy.

Importing XML's created by Adobe Premiere

Having the strangest time with Premiere lately.

 

I started a Team Project in Adobe Premiere, but unfortunately it's still too early in development to be reliable. I've exported XML's of 6 timelines (from Premiere Team Project) and then reimported them into a normal Premiere project. However, only 3 of them import successfully. The other 3 give me the following error.

 

"This project could not be loaded, it  may be damaged or contain outdated elements."

 

It's strange because 3 of the XML's import fine, and they're all being exported from Premiere itself. Any ideas?

JPEG Alias

I am using a graphic (4000x3200 8bit JPEG) in a 1280x720p sequence.  The graphic looks fine when imported but starts to break up (aliasing) when I hit play.  I've tried to "deinterlace" even though it's not an interlaced graphic. I've tried reversing field dominance even though it shouldn't have any fields.  Any ideas on why aliasing starts when I hit play?

Exporting mp4. file to less than 30MB without distorting?

Hello, I have watched multiple videos on exporting content. I have a little over a min video that i edited with my go pro. I am trying to submit this to a dropbox on national geographic site, its says that it can not be larger than 30MB maximum size. Aspect ratio 16:9.

Permitted file types: .MOV, .AVI, .MP4, .M4V, .MKV, .MPG, .WMV, .FLV, .

 

I went in and under my export settings I changed the Bitrate Settings to CBR and went down to 3.33 to turn my export size into 29KB. However it keeps saying that something is wrong with the video when I submit it. And I played it on my computer and after saving it to CBR on 3.33Mbps it is very distorted and slow. How can I export this on a small size with still good quality? Please help, I have watched multiple videos and tried everything.

Problem with LUT's when exporting to Quicktime with AME

I have an edited seq in PremPro that has a Lumetri LUT applied to an adjustment layer.

 

I added the LUT (D-21_delogC_EI0200_B1.cube) to the Lumetri/LUTS/Technical folder in the Premiere Pro package contents as suggested.

 

AME will produce an H.264 mp4 file with no problem - i.e. the LUT is applied and the mp4 is encoded correctly.

 

When I export to Quicktime, however, the LUT is not applied.  The .cube file mentioned above is in the AME/contents/lumetri/luts/technical folder.

 

Is this a bug specific to Quicktime???  Anyone have a solution.
