I need a system to lock a project so that others cannot change my projects. Also is a way of tracking changes made to your project at anytime by a different user.

Premiere Pro 2015 Crashes everytime I try to add a motion to a clip
I'm just trying to add a simple 125% - 100% scale to a clip and every time PP crashes. Does anyone have any ideas what's happening?

I have a video file shot with ARRI ALEXA Mini
its a mov file
codec prores 4444 4K (ap4h)
system windows 7
the file wont import into premiere cc on windows 7 - " unsupported format " - although i can play the video file with media player and VLC
on macbook that i have it imports just fine with premiere cs6
i tried couple of codecs to download
also the apple prores decoder for windows
no luck so far
any help would be alot usefull

Everything seems to be going wrong with Premiere Pro CC 2015!? Please help.
I've been dealing with A RASH of issues with Premiere Pro CC 15 over the last few weeks. In that time there has been an OSX Operating System Update (to OSX El Capitan 10.11.1), and a CC 15 update - both of which have royally screwed every good thing about Premiere. My program crashes a lot, my program monitor goes blank sometimes, I have had to nest projects 3-4 times because I get the "Your sequence cannot be opened because there are no preview preset files".
I'm wasting so much time, at least doubling my editing time, and all i'm working with is 60D DSLR footage and MP3's, how can this be that Hard??
Is my computer good enough? I wish I could sit with an Adobe person and have them use my machine to figure out what the hell is wrong. Here are my specs:
Macbook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
I recently just sent my Macbook off for a fixing because the logic board was basically shot, although I can't see a huge difference from before it was "fixed" because i'm still dealing with these ridiculous issues with a very simple task - I know things must be off because this is a good computer. Please please please any words of advice or wisdom would be unbelievably appreciated.

I'm new to Adobe Premier Pro, but I am a quick learner. My company has purchased LCD screens which will be installed vertically. Which means I will need to create portrait ads. Am I able to create a portrait template using Adobe Premiere Pro?

Initializing a panel on startup
We want to run a panel on startup - or - reroute the contents of the Welcome panel.
Is there a way to initialize a panel within Premiere upon startup? It seems there must be because the Welcome screen is an "Extension" which means it should be an HTML panel.
Also, where is the Welcome panel stored on disk? I can't seem to find it in any of the folders that Premiere has access to. (Need the paths for both OS X and Windows)

Rig for Premiere Elements 14
Hello everybody.
I'm planning to spend this holiday season sourcing the parts for a new PC for my father. He's recently started doing some home video editing and found that Premiere Elements 14 demands a little more than that current machine can offer. I'm working on a budget, but requirements are fairly lax. He'll only be doing minor editing of 720/1080p footage with little to no post-processing. Aside from that, it'll be a basic home computer: checking emails, internet browsing, office work, etc.

How to playback my timelines from Dell i5 Win10 laptop onto 42inch Samsung monitor

Two questions relating to how I playback from Premiere Pro CC 2015 on my Dell Windows 10 Core i5 Laptop, onto a large Samsung 42inch monitor.
1) I haven't yet connected the laptop to the Samsung TV but I have 2 possible connection methods - HDMI and USB. Which is preferable? I have an Intel 4000 HD graphics card - will this be ok as a minimum (as not planning on any big costs at this stage thanks)?
2) Once connected, how do I select the Samsung 42inch as the playback monitor for the timeline I'm currently working on?

Another playback issue, but this one is different from all the others I've seen.
So, I imported some relatively light 1080P footage this morning. It was shot on an EX1 and plays back through WMP without any issues. But when I bring the footage into Premiere CC it plays back at 2X the normal speed and it's super choppy. I have tried deleting my prefs files as I heard that could help. Nope, it didn't. I've tried moving the source footage to another drive, and again nothing. I tried software only mercury playback, and again, nothing. I opened the same footage in Ppro CS6 and it plays back normally. I have tried other source footage with different sequence settings and it appears to be happening across the board. I have had footage open in the program before without issue, and nothing has changed on my system since. No new hardware, at least. Why is it that every time you upgrade software it's like starting ALL OVER again? Can anyone suggest another solution I might try to remedy this playback issue?

.jpg still image issue premiere pro cc
I have a couple of .jpg still images in my timeline. For months the images were perfectly fine rendering and exporting without issue. Loaded my movie this morning to find the jpgs appearing as white on the source/project monitors and the clip on the timeline has pink diagonal lines. I tried re-importing the images and still the same. I'm really stumped on this as there had not been an issue previously. Any input really appreciated.

Is there a way to set a default window size for the text editor?
I have always had this problem, as I continue to add new texts, the left hand tool bar gradually gets bigger. Its really annoying to constantly resize all the segments within the window. Is there a way to stop it from automatically adjusting itself? Or a way to set a default setting? Am I the only one who has had this problem?!!??? Just let me know that I am not crazy. Haha.

NEF Files are greyed out and can't be imported
For some reason when I try to import NEF files from my Nikon D90 they are greyed out and I can't import them. The only file I seem to be able to import is a jpeg file that was part of the shoot. I was under the impression that NEF is supported so what am I doing wrong?

Using transition from AE in Premiere Pro
Hi guys,
I wanted to change the default 3D cube transition that is in Premiere Pro to a little bit different transition as it is shown in this youtube tutorial: After Effects Cube Transition Tutorial - YouTube
I am wondering if I always have to open the two clips in After Effects and set the transition manually for those clips or if there is any way how to have the transition exported and just apply on two clips in Premiere Pro? Like with Track matte or I am not sure how it would be possible, I tried to look for solution and tried to work with Track matte but it did not work properly so I am not sure if there is any other way.
I will be glad for any tips.

How do I set the bit rate to 2000 kbits/sec for standard definition that Vimeo recommends in Adobe Premiere CC?
Using the Vimeo SD preset the Target Bit rate is set to 4...

Timecode effect causing system memory failure
Hello,
I've experienced an issue the involves the use of the timecode effect. When attempting to render the sequence with the effect applied, my system runs out of memory. Similarities are that both times it happened, the sequences were approximately 30 minutes long and were queued to Media Encoder for final output using YouTube HD H.264 preset with 2 pass
