Premiere crashes constantly after update to CUDA Driver Version: 7.0.35

I have had troubles with the dreaded garbled screen bug, it occurs after working with premiere for more than an hour or working with 4K material or large graphic files.

But since updating to CUDA Driver Version: 7.0.35 premiere crashes immediately after starting the same project that worked  the previous day. Only switching to open CL stops premiere from crashing.

Please advise!

Retrieving partial rendered project after a crash?

Is this possible? Windows crashed during a long 18 hour render and the project was at least 90% rendered. Is this stored somewhere? The folder where the render is supposed to be has an .aac, .m4v and .md0 files but the .m4v is at 0 bytes. I have the sound from the .aac file. I fugured since this was a 2 pass render that I would have at least the 1st pass somewhere?

Film Convert plugin won't show on CS6

Hi,

I've recently purchased film convert pro 2.12 to use on premier pro cs6.

It won't show in my effects panel despite it being in the cs6-plugins-common folder.

I've looked online and holding shift while I start premier to refresh the plug-ins has had no luck either.

 

please help!  I'd really like to use it for my work in time.

I have a friend who is new to Premiere Pro and wants me to have a look at what she's edited so far and also edit a bit on my computer.  I'd like her to be able to upload the project file and clips and I'll download on my computer (diff CC account), edit some, then upload.  Is this possible?  Would it preserve all the edits etc. she has already made and new ones I'll make?

Premiere freezing then using all memory

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a weird problem across multiple projects. First playback will lock up in premiere, I can move the playhead through the timeline but the program does not update and there is no sound. The program monitor is stuck on the frame I was on before it locked up. After a few seconds of this I get a "Your system has run out of application memory" message. I am running on a 2013 Mac Pro with 64gb of memory, so memory should not be an issue. I opened up the activity monitor while working and noticed around 15gbs of total memory was being used while premiere was working. But the minute it locked up, suddenly the total memory usage began to shoot up until it was at 64gbs and I got the message. In the activity monitor it tells me premiere is only using 10gbs of memory, but that can't be the case as the minute I quit the application it drops back down. The lock ups are random, but usually within the first five-ten minutes of working. I need a solution to this problem fast as this is happening on multiple projects across multiple machines and the projects are due soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated... The amount of bugs I have been experiencing with premiere lately is just mind boggling, I do more troubleshooting than editing.

The film does not start when I press play

When I am trying to play a sequense inside of Premier pro and press the "play" button nothing happen. The button changes to a square but the film does not play. What is the problem? Sometimes it work when I save and restart the program

Best CPU configuration for Premiere Pro/ After Effects

Hello, I'm slightly frustrated. I'm using an aging Mac Pro currently and I'm planning to build a custom made workstation to replace it. Since I've began using some Windows Only applications in my workflow Mac isn't in the picture right now.

 

 

As of right now Intel has two types of i7 based CPU's on the market utilizing the 2011 V2 chipset. Quad Core CPU's that have excellent single thread performance and marginal relative multithreading performance and 6 and 8 core CPU's that offer better multi threading support but lack the single thread performance the quad cores achieve.

 

I'm trying to figure out what configuration would be better for Premiere Pro and After Effects with my workflow which is mostly 2k footage but I'm beginning to use 5k and 6k downscaled.  My current Mac pro (a 2010 6 Core unit) has trouble running more than one 2k stream even when utilizing ram preview and SSD swap storage. The Mac Pro also uses a 760TI for accelerated playback.

 

As far as I've read Premiere isn't very equipped currently to utilize the 6+ core CPU's, is that true? Should I expect Premiere to utilize them in the future??

Different video sizes/formats/fps - PLEASE HELP

Hi, I need some help.

 

I've been using Premiere Pro for about a month now, so I know the basics, but I'm still not an expert.

My problem is that the filming I've been doing (using Fraps) is in 3 different video formats :

1. 640x400 with 120 fps

2. 720x450 with 120 fps

3. 1280x800 with 30 fps

I've tried putting them all together in a sequence and editted the video sizes/formats so they all fit each other, but it seems to ruin the quality of the videos and also make it blurry at places (especially when exporting). Now my question is, if it is possible to have all 3 video formats in one sequence without it ruining the quality?

I've thought of changing the video formats before importing them into Premiere Pro, probably downscaling them - just not sure if this is possible.

Constant issues surrounding exporting

Hi guys!

 

Long time forum lerker, first time asker here.

 

So I'm running into some serious problems with my Premiere Pro CC/ Media Encoder CC workflow when I try to export almost every single video I produce. The issue is pretty straight forward, but I'm at a loss to find a fix

 

1) I finalise my project, send it for export over to Media Encoder

2) Establish my settings in ME

3) Attempt to export

4) File begins export, stalls at about 40 seconds. The estimated time for completion runs up to 40+ hours (and this is for a 1 minute promo video).

 

Any help really super appreciated.

Master Clips and Lumetri

If one applies a Lumetri Effect directly to a clip in a Sequence ..it shows in the Effects Control Window and can be  turned on / off / deleted.

 

If one applies a Lumetri Effect directly to an Adjustment Clip in a Sequence ..it shows in the Effects Control Window and can be  turned on / off / deleted.

 

If one does the same to a Clip in the Source window or Project Bin (ie a MASTER CLIP)..it does not appear in the Effects Control Window as being associated to the Clip(s) ( edit instances)

 

Unless I missed something...this makes it difficult to "remove from the clip" and also could cause a surprise down the track of an edit.

 

Kind of caught me to day and needed a bit of back pedalling to sort it out.

 

Anyone able to tell me different because I have intention ( need) for more Master Clip due to a new camera workflow.

Hi.  I wish to know whether the new NVidia Quadro K2200 and K4200 are compatible with the Mercury Playback Engine in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  My old graphic card NVidia Quadro FX580 is not listed and not effective apparently because Mercury Playback Engine is effective as from 1Gb RAM. I use a HP workstation and AVCHD (AVCCAM) and DSLR full HD.  Thanks.

Clips with warp stabilzer are unrendered everytime Premiere Pro opens

Had an issue with a CPU setting yesterday which has since been resolved, however since that was fixed this new issue with the rendering keeps happening and I do not want to have to render my sequence everytime I open up the programme. Anything I can do? I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014.2

Exporting H.264 - Coming Out Squashed

Hi, normally I don't have any issue, but maybe I have set the project up with different settigns I'm not sure?

 

I am exporting at 1080x1920 and it's still coming out squashed in at the sides.

I have changed the settings a few times and I'm just not sure what's going on with this?

 

Can anyone help or suggest?

Premiere Pro Multiple Issues?

I am very new to Adobe CC and all Adobe products for that matter, yet I'm still trying to wrap my head around why products in the Creative Cloud, with all their glory and popularity are so unreliable, clunky, and dysfunctional????? The worst I've ever worked with! Ever. Shutdowns, new error messages, freezes, SHUTDOWNS, ERROR MESSAGES, blah blah blah.  How is this set of products still being sold?????  With every new capability of CC I learn comes a flood of frustraton with bugs and inefficiencies that are more debilitating to my work than from anything I've ever experienced in all my time working on any program over the past 20 years. How is this still going on??? Who is regulating this selling of ****? Pure ****!  Hundreds of posts talking about the horrendous performance of Premiere Pro, specifically, yet we all are forced to deal with this decrepit program that's supposed to bring so many "new capabilities" to our creative process. Yet, I can't get the goddam thing to function for more than 30 minutes without launching into any of the aforementioned issues I just spoke about.  Shame on you, Adobe for selling such a horrible product to so many users and allowing them to grovel in these communities wondering what their doing wrong.  YOUR PRODUCT IS WRONG!
